Illustrative Cases from the Sarasota County Coalition for Families and Children

چکیده

Three case studies were conducted of children and families served by the Sarasota County Coalition for Families and Children. The purpose of the case studies is to provide in-depth examples of how a private model of care has intervened in the lives of those served. The case study methodology used is one that produces a two-dimensional picture of a case. One dimension is that of service delivery and its subsequent impact at the individual level. This dimension examines the impact of the system of care’s response (or lack of response) on the child and family; i.e., have they received needed services, how satisfied are they with the help they have received, what favorable or unfavorable indicators are present. The second dimension looks at broader system functioning; e.g., is coordinated case planning present.
